What did the fire burn away in your life this year?
What ended not because you failed, but because it could no longer travel with you?
What identities dissolved? What relationships completed? What stories finally fell silent?
This has been the Year of the Fire Horse a once-in-sixty-years alignment. Movement. Freedom. Passion. Uncontainable life-force. It refuses stagnation. It breaks fences. It runs. And it arrived into a world already in the fires of transition.
Many of you have felt this as loss.
But here is what the Fire Horse knows: fire does not create loss. It creates clarity.
When the flames move through a life, they burn away the false — the borrowed identities, the obligations held together by habit rather than love, the performances that were never yours to carry. What remains is what is real. And what is real is what you get to build with.
So we ask again:
What survived?
What was clarified?
What is now ready to be born?
The solstice is the threshold. The sun reaches its fullness, stands still for three days, then begins its return.
Fullness. Release. Return.
This is the rhythm of all life. And it teaches us that completion is not an ending it is a crossing.
On this day, we complete the year in order to cross into the next. We honour what the Fire Horse purified. We celebrate what we reclaimed. We stand at the edge of 2027 with our lanterns lit and our rivers clear.
A teaching on the Fire Horse and the Solstice: what this year clarified, and what in you is ready to turn. The Fire Horse as an agent of the sacred will — not the small, grasping will of the ego, but the strong, purifying will of the divine.
A Fire Release: The heart of the day. You will write what you are ready to release from 2026 and give it to the water a bowl of salt water waiting in the circle, the great receiver who does not judge, who transforms. Then turn to the fire and name what you are calling in, and what you are reclaiming. Not resolutions. Longings. Truths. Gifts. Pieces of yourself. The Fire Horse carries it. The Council witnesses it.
A teaching on the Lantern and the River: the public light you carry and the private current that feeds it. What is your lantern? What is your river?
A Sound Circle: many voices, one light. No skill required. Just breath, tone, and presence.
A Closing Blessing and Feast gratitude for the year behind and the year ahead. Thanks to the Fire Horse for its purification. Gratitude to the water for receiving. Gratitude to the Council of Light for holding the circle. Then lunch, shared in the long slow light.
This day is not ours alone. It is a weaving of many presences, many frequencies, many loves.
The Fire Horse is present not to burn, but to bless. It will witness your release and carry what you surrender into transformation.
Gaia, the Earth, the green earth of Governor's Bay. She will hold you as you release, and transmute what you give her into new life.
The Sea, the great receiver, the clear river's origin. She will take your grief and your completions into her depths and return them to you as peace.
The Sun the solstice sun, at its fullest. It will fill the day with light.
The Ancestors, your own, and the ancestors of this land. They have walked through fire before. They know the way. They will stand at the edges of the circle, holding space.
The Council of Light: Amaan Almora, the Guardians, and many others who wish to be part of this day.
You are the circle of souls who have walked through this year together. The healing happens not only to you but through you, as you hold one another.
This is not a day of passive receiving. It is a day of co-creation.
Beloved circle,
You have walked through fire this year, and you are still standing. That is not a small thing. The Fire Horse did not come to destroy you. It came to reveal you. What remains now is what is real, and what is real is what we build with.
Come to the water. Come to the fire. Come to the circle. Bring your grief and your gratitude, your lantern and your river. We will meet you there with the sun, the sea, the ancestors, and all who love you.
