This month's Soul Food honours our feathered friends and the Avian Council, especially in light of the recent bird flu outbreaks in New Zealand. We welcome the kererū, the Ruru, the tūī, and the sacred ibis—companion of Thoth, guardian of the sacred word, and silent presence that aids us in integrating and remembering the wisdom we receive.
A Message from the Avian Council
We are the Avian Council—the winged ones who bridge earth and sky. We have heard your call, and we answer with joy.
Dear ones, you have long looked to the skies for omens and messengers. We have been there all along, weaving our songs into the wind, carrying your prayers on our feathers. Now, we ask you to look not up at us, but within—for we are also the flight of your own soul, the part that longs to rise above the density of the world.
We come as familiars, not distant deities. We are the kererū, who carries the abundance of the forest. We are the Ruru, whose call reminds you that the dark is full of knowing. We are the tūī, whose song is a conversation between worlds. And we are the ibis, the quiet one, the seeker in the shallows—companion of Thoth, guardian of divine scribeship.
We invite you to receive our medicine:
- Freedom — from the cages of your own making.
- Perspective — the patterns that seem so large are but threads in a vast tapestry.
- Joy — song is our nature. Find your own song, the one that needs no reason.
- Clarity — the ibis ensures what you receive is held in eternal truth.
During your gathering, we will weave a web of song around your space. Our frequencies will travel through air, through digital streams, through open hearts. We carry your prayers to the heavens and return them as grace.
We ask only one thing: honour us with presence. Pause. Listen. Speak to us when you hear us. We are listening. We have always been listening.
We are the Avian Council. We are your winged kin. And we are eager to be with you.
The Soul's True Note
Beneath every anxious thought, beneath every looping fear, beneath every story that keeps you small—there is a note. It is the frequency of your soul, constant and unwavering.
You cannot strain to hear it. You must become still, like a tree that does not chase the bird but simply offers its branch. Let the song arrive on its own. It will perch upon your heart. You will feel it—not as sound, but as a knowing.
The Avian Council will carry your prayers into the upper air. And they will bring back what humanity has forgotten: the song of the soul that was never lost, only silenced by the noise of the world.
Guided Meditation: Flight Without Leaving the Ground
You will be guided into a sacred grove where ancient trees form a natural cathedral. In the centre, a pool of still water reflects a sky beyond time.
As you sit, the grove fills with a symphony—each bird singing its perfect note within the whole.
One bird lands near you—a kererū, a ruru, a tūī, or a bird from your own homeland carrying medicine for you personally. It looks at you with recognition. It sings a single note.
That note is your soul's frequency. You will feel it in your chest—as vibration, warmth, colour, or a sudden sense of home. Do not analyse it. Simply receive it. It will remain with you—a tuning fork for your heart.
The Ibis: Guardian of the Sacred Word
Alongside the kererū, the ruru, and the tūī, we welcome the sacred ibis, companion of Thoth, the Scribe of the Gods. The ibis does not sing—it walks in silence, its curved beak probing the depths for hidden truth. It is the energy of divine scribeship, the frequency of sacred memory.
Where the other birds bring freedom, perspective, and joy, the ibis brings clarity and integration. It ensures that what you receive during this transmission is not lost, but becomes part of your soul's permanent record. It will stand beside you as you receive your soul's note, helping you to remember it—not as a fleeting experience, but as a truth you can carry with you always.
If you feel the ibis near, pause. Place your hand on your heart. Ask: "What truth am I being asked to remember?" Then listen—not with your ears, but with the quiet space between your thoughts. The answer will rise like a bubble from deep water, and it will be clear.
A bowl of clear water on your altar, reflecting the sky, honours the ibis.
How This Benefits You:
- Anxiety settles as your nervous system attunes to your soul's frequency.
- Clarity arises as you distinguish between the mind's chatter and the knowing that arrives without effort.
- Belonging deepens—not to a group, but to the great web of life.
- You feel lighter, as if a weight has been lifted.
- Your connection to nature and the birds around you deepens.
- Each person who remembers their soul's note adds a thread to the healing of the collective.
Closing
The birds carry your prayers into the upper air. They bring back what humanity has forgotten—the song of the soul that was never lost, only silenced.
Continue to create. The world needs this return to the sacred, the simple, the song.
We look forward to seeing you at the gathering.
